Lake Manyara, Tanzania

Here we go again... off to Lake Manyara

We checked out of our Hotel and were ready to go...

We yielded to beautiful people...

And school children...

And Baboons...

And stopped to help some folks make bricks...

Flushed with success!

Then on to Lake Manyara... and enough birds to do Alfred Hitchcock proud.  Lake Manyara was said by Ernest Hemingway to be the 'loveliest lake in Africa.'

Greater Flamingos

Great White Pelicans

The Blue Wildebeest (Gnu) look so prehistoric, and have beautiful, earthy coloring...

A Dik Dik, a dwarf antelope...

Warthogs are so ugly, they're... well, ugly!

Good day, Jumanne.  Thanks!

I stayed back at the lodge the next day, and Jan went with the group to the local village...

Beautiful Children

Of course they were all over Jan!

And Mae as well...

And an African moon punctuates another great day in wonderland...
